Rich In Natural Iodine

Kelp, commonly referred to as a type of seaweed, grows along coastlines around the world. Kelp is an algae that naturally contains varying amounts of trace minerals, including iodine. It may be useful for proper glandular function and metabolism. Because the plant’s nutrients come in a natural form, they are easily assimilated by the body.

Adequate levels of iodine, especially in natural, organic highly absorbable form as in kelp, can reduce the uptake of radioactive iodine.

Further, the alginate in kelp also helps counter absorption of strontium, another radioactive substance. This prevents it from being deposited in the bones and connective tissues, where it could reside long term to undermine health.

 

IMPORTANT: The radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan is worse than authorities and the media have publicized. It is important to regularly feed the thyroid with natural iodine as found in kelp or dulse. Further, it is best to use Atlantic kelp rather than kelp from the Pacific.
