Rene Caisse, a Canadian nurse, learned of the traditional "Ojibwa Tea of Life" and developed her famous herbal tea. She found it favorable with her cancer patients, and affiliated with an American doctor to test the formula.

It was presented to medical agencies in both Canadian and the USA, but they would not approve it as a treatment.

Still, it has helped many people with various conditions.

How It Works:

The components of the original Native American Essiac Tea formula that gained popularity in the mid-1900s have been used traditionally to soothe the digestive tract, detoxify the blood and aid immunity. Traditional preparation of this tea requires a 10-hour brewing and steeping process.

Ingredients:

Burdock root, sheep sorrel , slippery elm bark and Turkey rhubarb root.

NOTE: This formula contains Turkey rhubarb. See your health care provider prior to use if: pregnant or nursing, any medical condition exists, or when taking any medication. Not intended for prolonged use. Do not use if diarrhea, loose stools or abdominal pain are present or discontinue if they develop.
