Frankincense

Frankincense gum resin oil is known from Biblical references as one of the gifts of "The Magi".
Frankincense has a unique complex aroma of spice, citrus and wood tones that has made it a valuable and sought after item for many centuries. Its rich aroma is renowned for its meditative and mood-elevating qualities.
Made from the hardened gum resins of the Boswellia tree, Frankincense is respected for its comforting and centering effects, especially for meditation and prayer. It is commonly used in religious ceremonies.
As with other essential oils, it should be diluted with a neutral oil before topical application. Use a concentration of less than 2 percent (eg., 15 drops per tablespoon of massage oil).
NOTE: Essential oils may be used aromatically or topically in a variety of ways including diffusers, massages, compresses, baths, scrubs, lotions and sprays. Essential oils should be diluted with a massage oil or carrier oil before applying topically.
(NOTE: Not for use during pregnancy or on children under 2 years of age. Avoid using near eyes or sensitive mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children.)
