Essential Oil of Lemon Peel
The clean zesty aroma of lemon has a remarkable cleansing effect on the body and one's home. Lemon peel oil has a mouth-watering juicy fragrance.
It takes 3000 lemons to make 1 kilo (2.2 pounds) of essential oil. One drop is equal to 20 lemons! Stimulating and versatile, lemon oil is like sunshine in a bottle. It provides a burst of freshness for a variety of household uses.
Lemon peel oil may be diffused in a room to elevate mood. It is excellent for cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom areas.
As with other essential oils, it should be diluted with a neutral oil before topical application. Use a concentration of less than 2 percent (eg., 15 drops per tablespoon of massage oil).
NOTE: Essential oils may be used aromatically or topically in a variety of ways including diffusers, massages, compresses, baths, scrubs, lotions and sprays. Essential oils should be diluted with a massage oil or carrier oil before applying topically.
